Making a cop car?
Remarkerable
Haha! Sweet!
(First?)
this could be the new fad. all it needs is some clear coat…
Now nobody will know I stole this car!
3 hours to Sharpie that car = fumes = dead brain cells. So color job and owner are both fail.
Apparently, one sharpie covers, oh, about a hood, grill, and left front fender.
it’d be really funny if it were washable marker…
why is he still going?
@7 Unfortunately in this case, there are no brain cells to kill.
Am I the only one who thinks this looks awesome?
It’s an artwork!
20 years later somebody will buy it for million bucks…
West Coast Customs’ really been hit hard by the poor economy, huh?
If you look closely at his hand, it’s actually a dry-erase marker. Massive Fail!
@jamie
Because permanent markers can’t be that shape or anything…
Ummm…photoshop
Just an excuse to breathe the fumes.
Don’t forget the clearcoat!
Not sure what the car is powered by, but the owner is running on meth.
There is an office supply store somewhere, that is out of sharpies.
That guy is probably high as a kite after doing all that.
Later, after the thundershower, Marty realized that he had picked up the Dry Erase pen, not the Sharpie.
You know, Sharpies are made in an impressive array of colors – how about a tie-dye style coloring job??
what was wrong with the white color? lol
It’s not a black sharpie – it’s a big tube of Whiteout.
A one word question — WHY?
@Kolector
why not?
Y’know, a can of spray paint would have been cheaper than that many Sharpies.
@Nick
That guy was probably high as a kite BEFORE doing all that!
It’s an art project from a radical french streetartist called east-eric.

Sadly, Sharpie fades badly in direct sunlight. So unless he drives at night, he’s going to be doing this all over again in 3-5 months (That’s if rain doesn’t wash too much off as is). I have a Sharpied sign at work that I have to rewrite in that time span due to fading and rain.
For those detailed finishes
“Black cars look better in the shade”
Whoever owns that car is going to be extremely unimpressed when they get home.
well, someone has a leetle too much time on their hands, dontcha think? Hope that’s his car. Cooler if it was multi colored sharpie.
this is what i’ll do in high school graduation. every1 will sign my car. w00t, yeah.
NIICE! i wanna do that to my car…when i get one…
Craziness…
is it the flavored kind, as in “kid-friendly?” licorice??
That’s gonna need a second coat.
Don’t EVEN ask me about the interior…
OMG. Talk about cheap
.
gotta have a sharpie! I just changed some rubber flip flops from pink to black the same way.
But what happens when it rains? won’t it wash away?
it’s like a real life edward gorey drawing
For a sharpie it doesn’t look half bad…it could probably go better in the 80’s however.
it’s one of those big ass sharpies u can smell all the way across the room. and even though he might b dumb ass rocks (bless his special heart) he gets mad points 4 dedication, that’s right meth boy u keep coloring!
He’s doing it so he can use the vehicle in a scheme or crime of some sort. The marker is dry-erase so that he can easily go through a car wash and the car will be a completely different color from what the cops or witnesses thought it was. I hope that answers many of the “why?” questions many of you had.
Great answer. A++
@matthew: There’s a leaf where I live that still has the sharpie writing on it from about months ago.
Then he found the store didn’t have any more black…
XD i needed this, thanks for the laugh~ <333
“Ha ha! Stupid cops! So much for the stolen WHITE car!”
wow how many sharpies had to die for this?
Krista, is that you?
@Liz
but he had to huff the spraypaint to have enough energy to color his car by hand w/ a sharpie!
The owner really wanted that “Take On Me” look.
SSSSSSSSSWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
“Mah, HEY MAH. We’re gonna need more sharpies out here!”
Who has the time to do that, really?
