poor-er man’s ikea
I thought that IKEA was the poor man’s IKEA.
Isn’t this an outtake from Castaway?
Whatever works!!
Looks like it’s for a kid’s playroom. I don’t think it would hold a normal weight adult for too long!
Many people start doing this just married
Hey.. Someone stole that from a friend of mine, the original fedex furniture guy. See the wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FedEx_furniture
IKEA furniture isn’t that sturdy.
Actually, I sleep on my record boxes. Saves space, and works very well. What you have to do though is put plywood down to distribute the weight. If there is nothing between the material and the boxes you sit on, this will not last long.
I want to know what is in the boxes.
Ikea is the Swedish Man’s Walmart
Ikea’s engineeers are perfecting this as we speak
Is this what they mean by ‘recycle’?
I’ve seen better.

Hey.. Someone stole that from a friend of mine, the original Paul Auster. See the wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_Palace
I did this once with boxes of books, except mine were so covered in pretty throw rugs and colorful cushions you couldn’t tell there were boxes underneath. Plus, I used strapping tape to hold them together, so it was pretty sturdy. So, yeah, this post is totally a “Nyah nyah, mine was better. Amateur.”
Hey…that’s creative when you’re poor!
I’ve heard of getting furniture from a ‘big box’ store, but didn’t know that’s what it meant.
This is from a Volvo enthusiast, “Boxy but good.”
