    “The real problem is someone needs to pull the string to turn it on every night.”

    Can’t tell, but I was wondering it the fixture is one of those inexpensive sensor types. So it might go on and off when it should. Until a 15 m.p.h. gust brings it down. Based on appearance this is one of my favorite submissions. Nice find, Mike.

  21. arrarr says:

    that should be “if”, not “it”. I have to proof my own stuff.

  24. William says:

    While they didn’t recycle a Pepsi bottle, they should have least been “green” and used a CFL.

  25. mike - submitter says:

    @arrarr
    thankyou!

  26. Lynxriver says:

    We need a follow up picture of this thing in operation.

  27. mike says:

    I like this chandelier idea way better.

  28. mike - submitter says:

    If only I had gone back at night to see it in action. hey, I might do this year. but againg I have to point out that as you can see in the pic, only 1 wire is connected to the bulb!

    I sure hope you’re not trying to pretend to be me.
    nonetheless, a chandelier instead would be genius.

    this lamppost is one of the older types with no sensor on. I checked while I was there.
