I didn’t know you could get leather from a duck.

  2. Rina says:

I have a couch that I just love, it’s been with me through 3 states, 15 apartments. It’s the best sleep I’ve ever had. Unfortunately the cushions are dying and the fabric is split in far to many places. Since I can’t sew worth anything (Indeed I can’t even thread my sewing machine) I can see this being in the future of this couch. I just couldn’t bear the thought of replacing it. (friends won’t let me either)

  3. Duct Tape Dan says:

Probably could have traded all that duct tape for a new couch.

  4. Silverfox says:

Are we sure this was a couch to begin with? I see plywood…

    • arrarr says:

If this is an older couch the plywood may be needed for support. Could be taped to match, though. The workmanship (workpersonship) is neater than most kludges we see.

      • Anna Rexia says:

I’m wondering if this is a complete rebuild. The back rest also is plywood and underneath the plywood supporting the seat cushions, it looks like a shower curtain rod and seat belt material threaded through it, much like lawn chairs prior to those nasty single-piece plastic ones we now have.

      • Daniel says:

I agree. This is kludge of love. A lot of attention to detail. I am also inclined to agree with Anna. This does look like more of a just duct tape over the holes fix and more like a complete rebuild.

As for the cost of the duct tape. Kludges exist because some people have access to a lot of something and none of something else.

  5. Pat says:

    This isn’t a kludge; it’s a win!

  6. Joe says:

The first cushion was too happy, the second cushion: too sad. But the third cushion was just duct tape.

  7. g says:

Ingenious. If you accidentally stain it, you just cover the stain with some duct tape.

  8. The Dane says:

    cheap couch for sale:

    Nice light look!
    Looks like new!
    Unbreakable!

    Former used by cat-owners

  9. zerodfg says:

Don’t try to have a pillow fight with those cushions, the feathers are stuck to the tape is my guess.

  10. Compulov says:

@g How exactly would you stain duck tape anyway?

  11. Lady J says:

will become all the rage across dorm common rooms everywhere

  12. themdg says:

Duct tape is not cheap. No way this could cost less than a new couch at Ikea or something similar.

  13. Thomas says:

The deluxe version is made from Gaff tape.

Lets your legs stick to the sofa for that genuine leather experience.

  19. Brea says:

That is something I would do… i have a binder I just loved but when it fell apart I duck taped it :) works better than ever :P

  20. fluffy8u says:

This is just silly. I can still see parts of the original couch.

  28. Kira says:

me and my friends totally supports the ducky couch… as we often say: DuckTape can be used for anything, and if you can’t fix it with ducktape yopu just haven’t used enough’… we have yet to run ito something that couldn’t be fixed with ducktape

  29. Maj says:

    I actually like this….. it’s neat~!

  30. Goof says:

Looks like a great way to water/child roof it. I used black electric tape to try to patch up my black vinyl couch. But it didn’t work too well. We finally got a new couch. :p

  34. Mad Vulcan says:

EPIC WIN!!! Duct Tape is awesome.

  35. LadyBelle says:

All I can think about is how badly that would rip out hair if you laid down or rested head near it.

  36. MSNardi says:

When it said some assembly required, I never pictures a roll of duct tape as being part A.

  37. Say g'night, Gracie says:

Hey, Neil! I found you a couch!

  38. Trainguyxx says:
