I dont know, but now I want a ‘screwdriver’ as I attempt to figure out why this guy couldnt just buy a new drill.

So do the medical bills that will be incurred when the clamp lets loose of the screwdriver and it goes flying. Somehow I think the gas to the hardware store and the $2 or so for the bit would be cheaper.
I hope you realise what a kludge is and what this site is for.
Now I would have just cut the handle off the screw driver and put the remaining bit in the chuck.

Somebody’s gonna lose a body part with that thing.
It’ll most likely be their eye, as the duct tape gives and the clamp lets go.
They’ll just use duct tape and\or zip-ties to reattach.

Isn’t there aa entire safety course about doing this with power tools? If I remember correctly rule 1 says “Do not give power tool to an idiot!”
Ahhhh you all missed it. It is a variable chuck. It is set to kludge, so what else could the guy to do???
Finally, Dr. Evil perfected his screw ray, all it needed was a little duct tape.
All show and no torque.
Looks like a DIY sex toy to me…
FYI-
In an effort to clamp down on this kind of workplace screw-up, OHSA is taping these incidents and drilling the guilty parties to get a better handle on the situation. Personally, I think it’s a bit extreme.
