  7. Anodean says:

  8. Bridge says:

This is the genius pervert’s way of getting free porn videos from people.

  9. AlanV says:

i guess you can say its a 2-in-1
    for mail AND security

    • kc/cc says:

Ah! So we have here a combination electrical cord and security chain, right? May be better this way– anyone trying to cut it…zzzaappp. And it’s recording the video of the intruders at the same time, I guess. And the door next to it looks to me like one of those man-size safes that Dick Cheney had in his VP office… Wait, this all comes back to zombies, doesn’t it?!?

  10. TheAntiCat says:

I said no more damn mail!

  11. catsaiyan says:

mailman: i got passed the dogs now all i have to do is stick my hand in the mailbox and give him the mail

  12. Asuna says:

The sad thing is….there’s a TV on the porch behind that door

  13. dono1 says:

    Whatever it is, it’s adoorable.

  14. Manne Romani says:

    This photo is from Finland

The actual joke is that somebody didn’t pay his electric bill and therefore his line was cut.
So was forced to use the building’s electric net which of course is billed separately.
The “Hagert” name in the door is very common among ethnic minority which also is very well known from cons like this…

  15. vyznev says:

I think this is an ingenious solution to having the power cut off from your apartment.

  16. apricot says:

    Oh, GTE (Grand Theft Electricity).

  17. koala says:

    free electricity ;D

  18. dono1 says:

Boy, Netflix sure is getting efficient.

  19. The Cat says:

The door itself looks kludgetastic. The VCR is just a boobytrapped mailbox. Send me a bill, will ya?

  20. Mervyn says:

    It’s a joke on the mail-man.
    Classic

  21. joevk78 says:

That’s how you keep stalkers from peeking in your mail door, move it up to eye level and electrify it. Although I would moved it to, oh, say waist level.

  22. ATG says:

I’m not convinced it isn’t just a regular mail slot and that dude is stealing electricity from the hallway. Hope Mr. Furley doesn’t find out, or he and the girls might have to straight things out down at the Regal Beagle!

  23. noricum says:

Yeah, the plug should be on the other side.

  24. kelti says:

Reminds me of one of those little critter traps with the cardboard box, a stick and some string. “Now Billy, just wait till the mailman comes along and then pull the cord..”

  25. Piku says:

What you can’t see is the string of 4-way extension sockets, cooker and A/C unit running off that wire. And the pile of unpaid electricity bills on the floor.

  26. Courtney says:

So now when the mailman comes & puts the letters in the mailslot, he’ll get shocked? Sweet! I want one for my mailbox!

  27. The Other Lee says:

“The next time you try to steal my electricity, Cletus, at least try to be a bit more discrete about it!”

  28. mr.flachenheiner says:

And yet, despite their best efforts, the mail still always comes at 12:00,12:00,12:00,12:00…

  29. lovejones says:

When cattle prod companies make a door, they make it right the first time.

    • kc/cc says:

It didn’t occur to me that they would’ve gone electric with their products until you mentioned it, but it seems kind of inconvenient to have to plug them in and all.

  30. justladueit 2 says:

day 154: the zombies have managed to cut down the fence outside and started to shove their hands through the mail slot to open the door, luckily i managed to electrify the slot before they unlocked the door. i wonder how long it’l last though, the backup genorator is almost out of gas…

  31. Loki says:

:D :D:D Hagert is very common gypsy-name in Scandinavia.

  32. S. Cole says:

I may hate my mailman, but I never actually _tried_ to electrocute him.

  33. herds789 says:

But Hansson in the office next door is jealous because he doesn’t get a nice door or an electrical name plate.
