epic fail… its an ipod.
Ditto qbert — nice stand solution. Too bad iPods are overpriced pieces of garbage.
Nah, it looks like one of the Chinese knockoffs that costs 1/10 as much and doesn’t chain you to iTunes and the iMusic store and all the other iCrap. I’ll never buy another Apple product after all three $300 iPods I got self-destructed at an eerily similar 15 months .. Almost as if there was a chip inside telling it to just quit working or something .. Hmmmm ..
Even worse, it’s a 3rd-gen Nano. You know, the ones with the craptastic colors and the wide form-factor to accommodate a video screen nobody watches video on.
thats kinda stereotypical. i’ve had my 3rd gen for over 2 years now and it works great. i watch vids most of the time, i listen to music on my ancient clip of a shuffle. i have a shuffle 2nd gen that i put miusic on and a nano 3rd gen for video. although apple products are pricey, i’d rather spend more money on a mac that never needs to be fixed than on a crappy pc that gets a new virus every week. i cant even figure out the controls of a pc! macs are so much easier. the only good thing about pc’s is that they have right click mice. But you can buy them for macs, so problem solved!!!!!!
Apple products are garbage. Sorry mate, you are one of the lucky few who owns an apple product in working condition older than 12 months. The iphones overheat and die. They have bad reception
and the battery life is a joke. The MP3 players suddenly stop working (white screen) and the PC’s are overpriced an contain outdated / inferior hardware compared to a PC in the same price rabge. The only reason to buy apple hardware is the looks. They are indeed purtey. And MacOS is easy to use, but it’s very limited in functionallity compared to say – linux or windows.
How is that a fail? Is an ipod suddenly not an mp3 player?
Huh, what’s with the jealous people hating on iPods in here?
Have a couple stop working just past the point of being able to return them, and you start to question things in life.
This is why I like my Zune. It works and isn’t a total fail. Oh and it won’t break a month after the warranty expires… Stupid iPod.
seriously everybody hating on ipod prolly doesnt have anything better to do in life suck it up that it died right after the warrenty things do that its life.
suck it up and deal!! i spend a crap load of cash on presents for my bffls, and they don”t even turn on when they try to use them. worst part is, i get them cool stuff at best buy. You know wut the return policy is? too bad it broke, but that happened while in your posessioon, so talk 2 the manufacturer.my phone started crapping out when i opened it on christmas, and they have it in purpkle, but i got it in black. NO PRICE DIFF! DEAL WITH IT! SOMETIMES LIFE SUCKS! HAITI CHILE KATRINA!
Why the fuck would you buy shit for you’re bfffls?
Now if they could kludge up some cardboard speakers, we’d really be in business.
Wait, I just saw the soda bottle speaker a few posts down. That’s perfect!
Goes well with this iPhone case: http://gizmodo.com/5357228/recession-cardboard-iphone-case-matches-my-furniture
DIY will be ruling the world soon!
So he kludged a standard from the creditcard he had left after he made his own pick and hooked it up to the soda pop speakers. I’ll bet you anything that the chair it’s placed on is attached to a baby chair.
You know i think i just might make that…course i have a zune 30 gb so i might modify it a bit…oh and i agree with the top two posters. Apple sucks.
I hear Legos is gonna come out with a line of accessories
Actually, I saw some speakers in a kids’ catalog when shopping for Xmas. Might’ve been some thumb drives, too.
There’ve been some lego styled accessories out for a few years now. I can’t remember who makes them right now, but check Urban Outfitters.
thinkgeek has both the speakers and the thumbdrives.
Hummmm…. Ovaltine!
A true charging stand! You gotta give him credit…
Nice!
The new iPod stand: plug-and-play compatible, water resistant, NO batteries necessary, flexible and personalized. * colors may vary from those in the image ** when your iPod battery becomes too hot, the stand will automatically trigger your smoke alarm (smoke alarm not included).
Now that’s thinking with your dipstick Jimmy!
“Why did you hit me?”
Because you were thinking with your dipstick!
“I don’t know, Al. This iPod is pretty expensive.”
“Don’t worry, Ryan. I’ll just put it on my credit card.”
Since when were plastic phone cards biodegradable?
that card is lithuanian
…so it works better this way than it would in trying to buy stuff? What are you saying here, really?
Lithuanian, huh? Is that one step up from Platinum?
Are you serious?Do you realy have no idea what Lithuania is..??:)
The iPod recharges just by it’s presence.
It is emitting electricity.
yes because plastic cards are both eco friendly and boidegradable.
Biodegradable, no, but it is Eco-friendly. remember reduce, re-use, recycle. Also I don’t care what you say, Apple rules over all.
There were a bunch of these kinds of home-made stands making the rounds on Make magazine and Lifehacker last year. So it’s not a kludge. Just sorta stupid.
I’d do this before I’d hand over my money to Apple for a similar thing. Besides, I think it has a certain kitschy appeal.
Looks fun
) And should be cheap to make
As long as no one *swipes* your credit card.
Looks like Apple will get your credit card one way or another.
It looks like a credit card, not plain old cardboard. That’s not bio-degradable.
Your parents always said you’d blow your credit card on useless technology.
I call it the iPropped.
Card carrying member of the frequent kludge club.
I think he/she should patent this idea and make a million at it !
Looks stable and safe to me. Then again, I like to fold the paper of my disposable chopsticks to make a rest for them.
there’s nothing wrong with that…It’s cute!
this card is from lithuania!!!
that’s not a credit or debit card btw.
it’s a discount for some pharmacy
hehe!
Dis is Lithuanian drugstore discount card. I do have the same one
