Fixer Dogmeat says, “Theirs was a forbidden love. The lawnmower couldn’t help himself. She was fast…oh was she fast! The lawnmower tagged along everywhere the ATV went, like a puppy playfully nipping at her heels. Then one fateful night in the back of the shed, their chassis collided violently in a heap of twisted metal. Some months later, the first riding lawn mower was born as evidence to the world that they overcame the odds and their love could not be extinguished.”

And it won’t even get under the trees. Mowing FAIL.

  2. husabob says:

That photo’s gotta be a few years old; there’s no safety brake on the mower handle. Aside from having to go back to do the edges, it’s a decent LSD(Labor Saving Device) kludge.

  3. JB says:

The hell with global warming! Nothing better than a gas engine to move the mower around and another gas engine to spin the blades. The only thing missing is a 2-stroke engine margarita blender!
    Gas powered blender

    • ck159 says:

Don’t forget the gas powered hedge trimmer side attachments to get all those pesky oxygen-giving shrubs out of your expanding carbon footprint!

  4. Pat says:

Why’s the lawn look like it’s been cut unevenly?

  5. dono1 says:

    (Psst! It’s Motocross, not Mowtowcross.)

  6. Tom says:

May neighbor does that. However, we’re talking major hillside where it is a safety issue to use a push mower. Think in terms of falling and having that mower coming back at you if pushing up or turning over and waiting for you while you slide to it. Of course this picture, while rotated, is apparently flat ground.

  7. Bridge says:

    RIP: Larry Harrison
    1978-2010
He got chased down by a lawn mower.

  8. waldo says:

This one’s as old as the hills and twice as dusty. Back when men were men. They used mule power to pull the mower and spread the fertilizer simultaneously while the women folk poured the Long Island sweet tea.

    • ann says:

I don’t know about that: my Navy father went to sea while my mother made sure to teach all her daughters proper lawnmower maintenance! Good lord, after some of THOSE hot-as-all-git-out days, I wished somebody had been bring ME something cold to drink!

  9. Marshall says:

    This is unbelievable. Unbelievably awesome.

  10. Cayenne says:

You guys got it all wrong.

This guy is using the powered mower to push the ATV. He just wants to
    have ATV fun!

  11. Cayenne says:

This way mom hears the lawnmower and not the ATV.

  12. Dogmeat says:

Theirs was a forbidden love. The lawnmower couldn’t help himself. She was fast…oh was she fast! The lawnmower tagged along everywhere the ATV went, like a puppy playfully nipping at her heels. 13. Mike says:

safety brake? ain’t that what they make zip-ties for??

  14. TheAntiCat says:

Good Lord, just pay the neighbor kid 10 bucks. Gotta be cheaper than that.

  15. Jompe71 says:

A Non Step For Man. A Giant Expansion Of His Belly.

  16. Rizz Rustbolt says:

He even got lazy on the kludgery.

No vice grips or duct-tape on either the throttle for the mower or the hitch itself?

    COME ON MAN!

  17. dono1 says:

Can you blame him? I mean, look at that incline.

  18. E-Man says:

okay. i KNOW that there are riding lawn mowers that are cheaper than an ATV.

  19. Nick says:

The biggest fail is that this is photoshopped……

  20. waldo says:

The mower’s broken and being towed back to the repair shop.

  21. John says:

Just the other day he was wondering how he could be fatter.

  22. NoJo says:

The only thing bigger than his carbon footprint is his growing buttprint

  23. TeeBee says:

So. er… We heard you like to mow…

  24. m and m says:

Our neighbor use to pull his wife on their riding mower with his car to mow their grass when the transmission went out in the mower. Since both the car and the mower were both junk it was wonder they ever got the grass mowed. Now he has a newer mower and drives it to the bar because he lost his license for DWI. So this didn’t surprise us a bit.

  25. Diver Doug says:

this must be a few years old..I didn’t think ATCs were still around even due to their lack of safety

    • Danny says:

“They” stopped making 3 wheelers because the things dangerous. Apparently that wasn’t enough for this guy, who felt compelled to attach a whirling shaprned blade to the back.

But, with or without the additional source of decapitation, Honda still makes parts for their ATCs. I have several friends who think the ATCs are great, and continue to ride them. I also have several idiot friends; there is a lot of purple in the Venn diagram describing those two sets…

  26. Jeff says:

    Now THAT is crunk.

  27. Sean says:

It’s creating it’s own gravitational pull, making the entire world tilt!

  28. jghi says:

I saw this movie. This must be the part BEFORE he gets hooked up to the computer and gets all super genius and trys to rule the world.
